1Body4Sixty - Day 13

Peggy - 200 (+4.0; -16.0)

Woe is me!! This morning I digressed four pounds back to 200 lbs.(-16 lbs.)!!! I know why:
1.     Did not eat any fruit;
2.     Did not quite drink enough water;
3.     Forgot to take my vitamins and probiotics and;
4.     I went to fake bake (tan) and used a lotion.

My scale is giving me a reality check as the two pounds per day which I have experienced thus far is on the high side of the expected weight loss.

Breakfast was four cups of coffee w/Stevia. Yes, I was pissed!

Lunch was a shrimp cocktail w/lemon juice and steamed cabbage with garlic and sea salt. I had an apple with cinnamon and Stevia.

A trick I learned is that I purchased a one pound (116 oz.) bag of cooked frozen shrimp. There were forty pcs. which I divided equally into four sandwich bags each with ten pcs., i.e., four ready to go meal proteins.

Dinner was a boiled egg, salad with cherry tomatoes, red onion and Walden Farms Creamy Bacon Dressing. I had another apple.

I used to eat a lot of ‘convenience foods’ so this cooking for myself is very different for me. I have always been a veggie hater but I think that I have come to terms with that and actually developed a fondness for them. My portion sizes were super charged and now are what they should be.

My fingers are crossed for tomorrow. I hope to get back to the two pounds per day loss!

1Body4Forty - Day 13

Amy – 162.4 (+1.7; 10.2 Total)

Absolute horror getting on the scale this morning. I went up 1.7 lbs b/c of the steak I ate last night and it didn’t help like I thought it would.  I still feel fat and bloated from the food I’ve eaten over the past few days.

I had a couple of cups of coffee this morning and an apple at 11 am and I am now convinced I need to do an ‘Apple Day’.  By the time 1 pm rolls around and it’s time for the next apple though,  I can’t bear the thought of eating another apple.  So I opted for a ½ cup of cottage cheese with a teaspoon of turmeric mixed into it.  I started mixing turmeric into my cottage cheese during the first round and really liked it.  It’s supposed to be good at preventing illness, but I like the taste.  Not for everyone, but I’m not one of those people that likes sweet fruity things mixed in with it either.  I find I have trouble eating cottage cheese without it now.  This was accompanied by salad with blue cheese dressing.  I do manage to eat another apple later in the afternoon though.

For dinner, I had a piece of ‘blackened’ tilapia and steamed broccoli with roasted garlic spice.  I am doing my best to drink lots of water today and get in at least 5-6 bottles.    I will just keep hoping for the best that something changes with my weight tomorrow.

1Body4Sixty - Day 12

Peggy - 196 (-2.0; -20.0)

This morning I weighed in at 196 lbs., which is down twenty lbs. from my starting weigh of 216 lbs. 1Body4Life Weight Loss has provided the easiest weight loss method ever!

I woke up four times during the night due to sleep apnea. (How much weight do I need to lose before that goes away?)

Breakfast was two cups of coffee w/Stevia.

Lunch was 4 oz. ground round with garlic, sea salt and cayenne seasoning on lettuce with cherry tomatoes. The cayenne pepper was a new seasoning for me and I love it.

I had a. few celery sticks with Walden Farms Bleu Cheese Dressing. Didn’t eat my fruit.

Dinner was 4 oz. chicken breast broiled with garlic pepper and sea salt. I also had a quarter of a head of cabbage which I seasoned with the garlic and sea salt. Two bread sticks and an apple. I also had 2 cups of tea.

I drank my 64 oz. of water but let me give you a tip: Not being much of a water drinker, I take a 20 oz. bottle of water, add a packet of Stevia and the juice of half a lemon. Yum! But roll the lemon on the counter until soft before cutting it. This makes for a more juicy lemon. This makes drinking all that water easier.

1Body4Forty - Day 12

Amy – 160.4 (-0.0; 11.9 Total)
Still no change for 3 days in a row! I am now a bit bummed and am contemplating doing an ‘apple day’ which means eating 6 apples throughout the day, spaced every couple of hours.  Not looking forward to that at all.  It’s not that I don’t like apples, but not 6 in a row. Ugh.

In the morning I had two cups of coffee and no fruit for breakfast.  At lunch I had baked chicken marinated in white wine vinegar and greek spices.  Again, I had a cup of coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage) with chopped tomato and 2 tablespoons of the Walden blue cheese dressing which I love.

Later at 3 pm I had an orange.  I also took a brisk 1 mile walk around the park with the dog.  Mild, but decent, non-strenuous exercise and it got me out of the house and into the fresh air.

For dinner I had about double the amount of steak I should have had, thinking it would have the same effect as it did the other day.  This was accompanied by a sliced tomato with sea salt & pepper.  I skipped my second fruit for the day.

By the end of the day, I feel like I have a lot of food stuck in my stomach, probably because of the coleslaw/cabbage I had for lunch 2 days in a row.  Not sure in hindsight that that was such a good thing.  I thought the roughage would help move things along, but it may have slowed things down.  For some reason, having more steak than I should have eaten felt like a good idea to push everything through….  My stomach is cramping a bit late tonight.

1Body4Sixty - Day 11

Peggy - 198 (-2.0; -18.0)

This morning I weighed in at 198 lbs., which is down eighteen lbs. from my starting weigh of 216 lbs. 1Body4Life Weight Loss has gotten me under 200 lbs for the first time in years!  I was up four times during the night with sleep apnea.

Breakfast was two cups of coffee w/Stevia.

Lunch was a boiled egg, salad with cherry tomatoes, red onion and Walden Farms Creamy Bacon Dressing. A couple hours later I had a. few celery sticks with Walden Farms Bleu Cheese Dressing. Strawberries were my afternoon fruit.

Dinner was 4 oz. ground round with taco seasoning. Be very careful about taco seasoning as many have sugar in them. Two breadsticks and an apple completed my meal.

In the past, every ten pounds of weight loss has equaled a dress size. I know that I am down at least one size, but hoping for two as I have lost twenty pounds!!!
