1Body4Sixty - Day 24


Peggy - 194 (-0.0; -22.0 Total) This morning I weighed in at 194 lbs. which is a total lost of 22 lbs. This is the fourth day of a stall. I slept nine hours and was up three times during the night. I drank 64 oz. water. 

Breakfast was two cups of coffee w/Stevia.

Lunch was a 2 oz  tilapia/ 2 oz. chicken breast pc. And ½ c. spinach with an orange.

Dinner was 4 oz. shrimp with 2 T. Walden Farms Seafood Sauce & ½ c. spinach, two bread sticks and strawberries for dessert.

1Body4Forty - Day 24


Amy – 156.5 (0.0; -15.8 Total)

No loss today, but that is par for the course.  This afternoon I had a massage with Tom at 1Body4Life which I was really looking forward to.  Hoping that massage may push some of the fat out of my body and convince it to leave! J Tom has a non-oil massage ‘oil’ that is used on HCG patients, so it’s great getting to be pampered without having to worry about absorbing oil through my skin.  I always feel great after these massages!
A couple of cups of coffee this morning and I skipped my fruit because I wasn’t hungry.  For lunch, I have a quick ½ cup of cottage cheese with turmeric mixed into it and a chopped tomato with a little Walden Farm blue cheese dressing.  I don’t have an orange until around 3:30 pm before heading off to my massage.
For dinner, I have a hamburger patty with Chicago spice mix and sautéed spinach with spices.  With the massage, I am trying to drink more water so that any toxins that were released get flushed out of my body.

1Body4Twenty - Day 0


Hello all! This is 1Body4Twenty here and I am in my way-early 20’s! In fact, I am 20! I haven’t started the HCG diet program yet, so I am blogging this as day 0.

About my background: as a college undergraduate, it’s hard to lead a healthy life. Too little sleep, too much studying, greasy gross cafeteria food, it’s impossible to keep your weight and stress down, especially for one who has been thick in stature her whole life. I also happen to be plagued by irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which makes it so hard to eat and lead a steady college lifestyle (if that isn’t an oxymoron). I was getting so much abdominal pain that I went for a scan and they saw some fluid in my abdominal cavity from a ruptured ovarian cyst. These are common at my age, but my doctor at 1body4life wanted to do some more research before he would let me start. I was frustrated because two other programs in Rockford told me I could start right away. I wasn’t sure about it and they didn’t seem like they were really doctors. I checked out Doctor Oz. He has stuff about the HCG program on his website, but he said only doctors can do it. I was wondering what to do next when I heard 1body4life on 97ZOK.  The guy doing the ad is the doctor. He sounded Australian, so that was cool, and that’s how I got here.

The doctor explained that HCG is like one of the hormones that regulates your menstrual cycle. He sent me to an OBGYN specialist to rule out the possibility that I might have something called polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). This is where you get cysts, you gain weight, you grow body hair, and some people get type 2 diabetes. He was worried that the HCG might make it worse, but I found women in chat rooms who have PCOS and have found that on the HCG diet their symptoms, even their diabetes, improved a lot. The doctor did not find any negative reports, so I have been cleared to go. Anyway, my mental strength is my strength. I never give up. IBS has never gotten me down, and I am constantly battling to win and, believe me, I WILL win!

Since I was 2, I have danced every type of dance you can think of: ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, modern, and some ballroom and zumba. Dancing is my passion, and my choice of exercise. I cannot overemphasize what exercise has done for me, and I try to pair it up with healthy eating. The HCG diet actually does not allow vigorous exercise because, on a very low calorie diet, the immediate supplies of glucose energy are low making exercise difficult. For people who want to keep exercising, the doctor makes an estimate of extra calorie usage and adds it back into the daily allowance. I want to have that adjustment.

Now for the dirty deets. I am about 5’6” and 166 pounds. I was 172 when I returned home to take a break from school a few weeks ago but, thanks to a diet of veggies and fish and some vigorous dancing - which is going to become a daily thing - I lost 6lbs. I can’t wait to start the HCG diet together with dancing, and my goal is to lose 30 lbs!

I don’t want to just blog my everyday boring stuff because, let’s face it, college and grad school students crave excitement. I will add in little tips and juicy bits here and there just to spice it up a little. If you like dancing, choreograph your own dances and teach them to your friends, especially lame guys that don’t dance. If they are willing to be embarrassed, they might be worth knowing. Dance and exercise videos such as “Brazilian Butt Lift” or “Insanity Workout” also work very well, and of course you can stay at home. The gym is also a great place to go and I will definitely be there 3 hours a day. But for now, I’m sticking to home remedies, home cooking, and sushi.

This morning, I made eggs and had a plain Greek yogurt. Lunch is veggies. I just love eating whole red peppers. You eat them like apples and they save dishes! Not sure about dinner yet, but I eat a LOT of fish.

My goal is to lose weight, ease my IBS and go back to college looking stunning so no one recognizes me at first glance! It feels like personal encouragement to have an audience out there reading your stuff, good or bad. I was flattered to be chosen for this blog and I find that writing helps me keep going with anything challenging. I can’t wait to get started. I’m stoked.
