1Body4Forty - Day 28

Amy – 155.6 (-0.0; -16.7 Total)

Well, it’s day 28 and officially 4 weeks into the diet!  Still no change in weight today (guess bathing suit shopping doesn’t burn as many calories as you think it should!)  So today is the day I take my second set of measurements.  After the first 2 weeks I had lost 6.5 inches and now after 4 weeks, I have lost a total of 13.5 inches!  I lost another 1.5 inches in my waist, my chest and my left thigh, another inch off my hips and my right thigh, and ½ inch around my neck.  Still no change in my calves, ankles, or upper arms (ugh!) or my bra line.
After 3 cups of coffee, I had my standard breakfast of strawberries and stevia at 11:30 am.  At noon, I had lunch of baked chicken with provencal herbs and a salad with cherry tomatoes and Walden Farms blue cheese dressing.  It really sounds like I eat the same old thing every day, but it really is quite good.  I have an orange at 3 pm to hold me until dinner.
For dinner, I am going to have to fudge a bit and choose a dish that will be somewhat ‘diet friendly’ and hopefully this won’t throw me too far off the track.  We are taking a friend to the opera tonight in Chicago and having dinner beforehand, so it will have to be a little splurge… I opt for the ‘ploughman’s pie’ which is really a mini quiche (about 3 inches in diameter) with broccoli, asparagus and bacon, so I figure I’m getting eggs.  This is accompanied by a very simple side salad of green leaf lettuce and a very light dressing that is already mixed in.  And I’ll fess up to having a glass of wine with dinner… We have a really nice time this evening so I’m thinking this little detour was worth it.
