1Body4Sixty - Day 20

Peggy - 195 (-1.0; -21.0 Total)

Whoo Hoo…half way there!

This morning I weighed in at 195 lbs. Finally another pound lost!! So I am at the halfway mark and have lost a total of twenty-one pounds!!!! Slept eight hours, up 3 times.

Breakfast was two cups of coffee w/Stevia.

Lunch was 2 oz. chicken & 2 oz. sirloin (left overs) with cabbage slaw.

Dinner was 3.2 oz. tilapia with broccoli, two bread sticks (which I haven’t been eating lately) and strawberries.

Drank 64 oz. water.

I want to share a paragraph from two pages I got from 1Body4Life about weight ‘stalls’.

Everyone stalls. Everyone. It might be a day, it might be several days (like me). When you stall, don’t panic. It might just be your body adjusting to the next stage of your weight loss. Lots of folks panic (like me) if they don’t lose a pound a day. Don’t worry. The average loss is around one half pound per day and for many it is less. Just remember, there is nowhere else you can lose 3-7 pounds per week and KEEP IT OFF! No matter what you do, your body will lose weight at its own pace. So your best recourse it to relax, stick to the protocol and keep measuring (and weighing)!

That is excellent advice for someone that knows that they have NOT cheated and are panic stricken because of a stall!

1Body4Forty - Day 20

Amy – 157.3 (-0.0; -15.0 Total)

Well, the every other day loss seems to be a trend…
I had an orange at 10:30 am for breakfast along with my 2 cups of coffee.  Closer to 1 pm, I had 4 oz of broiled steak with Chicago spice (what else?) and a salad of mixed leaf lettuce.  This time I tried the Walden Farms Sesame Ginger dressing which was quite good, although fairly sweet for no-cal.  This afternoon at 4 pm before running errands, I had my second fruit of an apple with cinnamon sprinkled on it.
Since I was out running errands and it took longer than I expected, one of my kids and I decided to try to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner.  I had the grilled chicken salad without croutons or cheese and asked for the no-fat ranch dressing and several lemon wedges on the side.  The salad was nice because it had diet friendly veggies like tomato, onion, and cucumbers on it along with the salad.  I ate a little of the ranch dressing by dipping the tines of my fork in first and then picking up the salad, but mostly used the lemon and salt and pepper on the veggies.  (That’s an old trick of Richard Simmons to limit the amount of fattening dressings we use on salad and it seems to work, rather than pouring on gobs and gobs all over.)  I did make the poor choice of having a couple of glasses of wine along with my meal out of habit which I hope doesn’t impact me negatively tomorrow.

1Body4Sixty - Day 19

Peggy - 196 (-0.0; -20.0)

This morning I STILL weighed in at 196 lbs. STILL!!!! Yes, that is still twenty pounds down from my starting weight of 216 lbs., however it is discouraging!

Breakfast was two cups of coffee w/Stevia.

Lunch was 4 oz. sirloin and cole slaw made with cabbage and WF cole slaw dressing.

Dinner was 4 oz. chicken, steamed broccoli and strawberries for dessert.

Is my scale stuck??? I read up on ‘stalls’, but this is the fifth day of not losing!! Yesterday I cut in half the WF sauces that I had been using since the fourth day of my diet, although they did NOT affect my weight loss Days 4-15. Perhaps my  scale needs replacing. L Perhaps tomorrow I will have dropped 5 lbs.! Honestly, I have not cheated!!

1Body4Forty - Day 19

Amy – 157.3 (-1.1; -15.0 Total)

I have lost 15 lbs as of today!  This feels like a huge milestone and a few days before the diet is half over…
I had two cups of coffee this morning and my first fruit later than usual at noon – strawberries and stevia.  Later for lunch I had the 3rd 4 oz hamburger patty that one small package of ground beef split into to and cooked it with Chicago spice and had this with steamed asparagus.
Later that afternoon, I had an orange as a snack.  For dinner I had another portion of marinated baked chicken, this time with cumin and cayenne pepper as the spice mix.  I paired this with a salad with chopped tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of Walden Farms blue cheese dressing.
We will see if more weight comes off tomorrow….

1Body4Sixty - Day 18

Peggy - 196 (-0.0; -20.0)

This morning I weighed in at 196 lbs. STILL!!!! Yes, that is still twenty pounds down from my starting weight of 216 lbs., however it is discouraging!

Breakfast was two cups of coffee w/Stevia.

Lunch was ½ c. low fat cottage cheese with an orange cut up in it and coleslaw made with cabbage and WF coleslaw dressing.

Dinner was a salad w/tomato, red onion and 2 oz. WF bleu cheese dressing with strawberries for dessert.

I am backing off on the huge amount of WF dressing and chocolate sauce that I have been using. Although there is nothing in it bad for this diet, I was using it in abundance. Perhaps its use may be perpetuating my weigh ‘stall’. There is nothing unusual about a weight stall during this diet, I am just impatient after having initial success of 2 lbs. daily.

1Body4Forty - Day 18

Amy – 158.4 (+0.0; 13.9 Total)

I felt like I should have gone down again today but didn’t.  So maybe the loss will be every other day and maybe this weight will be more difficult to take off the farther I go down?  I will have to have a lot of patience since it is frustrating to not see the weight go down consistently.
After 3 cups of coffee this morning and strawberries and stevia at 11:30 am, I had lunch of a 4 oz hamburger patty with Chicago spice and 1 cup of steamed spinach with the same spices.
I had an apple later in the day at 3:15 pm.  For dinner, I had baked tilapia with roasted garlic seasoning and steamed broccoli with the same spices.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow’s weigh in will bring another pound (or two) off the scale…
