1Body4Forty - Day 28

Amy – 155.6 (-0.0; -16.7 Total)

Well, it’s day 28 and officially 4 weeks into the diet!  Still no change in weight today (guess bathing suit shopping doesn’t burn as many calories as you think it should!)  So today is the day I take my second set of measurements.  After the first 2 weeks I had lost 6.5 inches and now after 4 weeks, I have lost a total of 13.5 inches!  I lost another 1.5 inches in my waist, my chest and my left thigh, another inch off my hips and my right thigh, and ½ inch around my neck.  Still no change in my calves, ankles, or upper arms (ugh!) or my bra line.
After 3 cups of coffee, I had my standard breakfast of strawberries and stevia at 11:30 am.  At noon, I had lunch of baked chicken with provencal herbs and a salad with cherry tomatoes and Walden Farms blue cheese dressing.  It really sounds like I eat the same old thing every day, but it really is quite good.  I have an orange at 3 pm to hold me until dinner.
For dinner, I am going to have to fudge a bit and choose a dish that will be somewhat ‘diet friendly’ and hopefully this won’t throw me too far off the track.  We are taking a friend to the opera tonight in Chicago and having dinner beforehand, so it will have to be a little splurge… I opt for the ‘ploughman’s pie’ which is really a mini quiche (about 3 inches in diameter) with broccoli, asparagus and bacon, so I figure I’m getting eggs.  This is accompanied by a very simple side salad of green leaf lettuce and a very light dressing that is already mixed in.  And I’ll fess up to having a glass of wine with dinner… We have a really nice time this evening so I’m thinking this little detour was worth it.

1Body4Forty - Day 27

No change today, and I only got 6 hours of sleep last night so I’m dragging.
Not really hungry today at all and only had 2 cups of coffee this morning.  I didn’t have lunch until 1 pm, but I only had ½ cup of cottage cheese with turmeric and no vegetable.  It wasn’t until 4 pm that I had an orange, before the dog realized I was intending to leave the house and thought I  was taking him for a walk.  He was so excited and enthusiastic that I didn’t have a choice but to take him on our mile and a half walk.
Afterwards I went shopping for bathing suits. Spring break is coming up and we want to go somewhere warm!  At least having lost all this weight (which means my old size 16 suits are far too roomy – Yay!) makes bathing suit shopping easier.  Certain styles will still never look good on my body, but I do find 3 suits that I do really feel good in.
Since I was out shopping, I didn’t get to eat dinner until 8 pm.  I made a quick hamburger patty and a side of steamed asparagus.  Skipped the second fruit today because it was so late.
