1Body4Sixty – Day 5

Peggy - 210 lbs (-3.0; -9.0 Total)

Happy days, my weight this morning was at 210 lbs.!!! That comes out to 1.8 lbs. per day! I again was up five times during the night, however, I realized that I have not had the nightly bout of heartburn that I had always experienced since starting the 1Body4Life Weight Loss diet. For years, I have kept anti-acids in my nightstand and used them daily. I am unsure of why I have not been experiencing this, but am very glad that I am not.

Morning coffee with Stevia (2 cups), my probiotics, and injection has become a routine.
Lunch was ½ cup of low fat cottage cheese (my protein substitute) with ground pepper and two cups of spinach. Mid afternoon I had an orange and two cups of Oolong tea with Stevia. Dinner consisted of 4 oz. lean steak seasoned with garlic and sea salt and a salad of romaine and iceberg lettuce, tomatoes with two tablespoons of the Walden Farms ‘free of everything’ Creamy Bacon Dressing and two bread sticks. Yum! Evening snack was one cup of fresh strawberries.

It has been an effort to stay away from oil based personal care products. Although my make-up is water based, other personal care products do have oils. My cologne has oil in it!! Apparently, scents do have oil bases. So while on the HCG diet women (and men that use scents) should consider using a ‘toilet water’ type scent.

1Body4Forty - Day 5

Amy - 166.7 (-4.3; 5.6)

Finally down 4.3 lbs to hit the 160 range! So happy the extra weight has come back off!  Such a relief    to feel like I'm back on track to losing weight.

I started the day with a couple of cups of coffee and late morning fruit of strawberries with stevia. (My favorite.)  Lunch was 3.7 oz of lean steak broiled with Weber Chicago Steak spice mix and a vegetable of sauteed spinich (more of my favorites...)  An orange mid-afternoon became my second fruit for the day.  For dinner I had baked chicken marinated in white wine vinegar and cumin, along with a salad of greens, tomato and a red wine vinegar & greek spice dressing.

I am hoping I don't stall tomorrow because of the steak I ate for lunch, plus I was a few glasses shy of drinking all of the water I needed.  All in all, it has been a good start to this diet!

1Body4Sixty – Day 4

Peggy - 213 (-3.0;  -6.0 Total)

Wow, I have never been a morning person, but today I jumped out of bed full of energy! I had not even had my morning cup of coffee sweetened with Stevia! Perhaps I have got pass the ‘carb bog’ I always experienced as a carb-aholic. My weight this morning was 213 lbs.

After my morning injection of HCG (which 1Body4Life Weight Loss Center has prepared at a compounding pharmacy and incorporates vitamin B-12), I had two cups of coffee which added to my energy!

I am struggling to drink the necessary water (1/2 to one gallon daily) to flush out the fat cells which HCG breaks down. (Did I mention that my urine is fluorescent yellow?) So taking a tip from the manual Dr. Footerman gave me at 1Body4Life Weight Loss Center, I started adding lemon juice (fresh squeezed) to my water. This has helped me immensely to consume quantities of water, which I was not accustomed to.

Lunch consisted of 4 oz. drained lean ground beef seasoned with garlic and spicy mustard and one cup of spinach seasoned with black pepper. AM snack was an apple.

Dinner consisted of 4 oz. drained lean ground beef seasoned with garlic and spicy mustard and salad greens (romaine & iceberg mixed) with tomatoes, two bread sticks with creamy bacon dressing. Yes, creamy bacon dressing, delicious! It tasted like a BLT!

Dr. Footerman’s nurse at 1Body4Life Weight Loss, told me about Walden Farms Dressing that has an extensive line of flavors which are: No Carbs, No Calories, No Fat, No Sugar, No Gluten. It is available in the refrigerated section at my local grocery. Always being partial to the creamy dressings, I am anxious to try some of the other flavors. This product will be my dressing of choice even after I achieve my goal weight.

My PM snack was another apple. I do have grapefruit, strawberries and oranges on hand. It has just been more convenient for me to have the apples when I am at work. The only glitch in my very productive day was that a friend invited me for dinner and I had to decline for fear of eating something not on the approved diet and affecting my weight loss.

1Body4Forty - Day 4

Amy - 171.0 (-4.1; 1.3 Total)

Down 4.3 lbs to 171.0, although because of the increase after binging the total is only 1.3 lbs.  So glad though that those extra pounds I gained after the 2 day binge (and the few days before starting the diet0 are gone!  i was really worried it would take me a whole week to lose hem, but that is luckily not the case.

I definitely did the binge days right this time because i am still not feeling any hunger pains, although this morning I did actually 'feel' hungry.  That was easily relieved with a late breakfast of a handful of strawberries with some stevia sprinkled on top.  For lunch I had 3.5 oz of chicken marinated in white wine vinegar and Chinese 5 spice mix, along with a chopped tomato with a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and salt & pepper.  An apple around 4 pm kept away the hunger pains until dinner. Dinner was similar but the chicken was marinated in vinegar and Greek spice mix instead, along with a cup of broccoli steamed with Greek spice in a Ziploc steaming bag.

Luckily on this diet, strenuous exercise is not required, nor is it recommended.  We'll see if shoveling snow this winter helps take off a few more pounds...

1Body4Sixty – Day 3

Peggy – 216 lbs (-3.0)

Okay, folks, this was the beginning of the actual diet. Five hundred calories is not a lot of food, but believe it or not, I WAS NOT HUNGRY!! This is a miracle!!

Even after yesterday’s carb binge, this morning I weighed 216 lbs. I do admit to going to bed early last night, as I had a busy day ahead of me. I have always required a minimum of eight hours of sleep. I slept nine hours with the usual 4-5 sleep interruptions caused by my sleep apnea.

Not being much of a water drinker, that was the hardest part. I did drink about two quarts. Additionally, I drank two cups of black coffee, two cups of unsweetened raspberry tea, & four cups of green tea with Stevia. Lunch consisted of 3.5 oz. of baked chicken seasoned with garlic powder, two cups of salad greens with red vinegar, tomatoes & Greek seasoning and an orange. Dinner was 3.5 oz. of mahi mahi fish, 2 cups of salad greens with lemon, red onion & tomatoes, two bread sticks and an apple with Stevia & cinnamon. I absolutely am not lying when I tell you that I WAS NOT HUNGRY!!

My morning injection of HCG was my breakfast along with the probotics & vitamins. I felt good, not shaky, alert and ambitious.

Today I was thankful that I have always used water based make-up, as anything in my personal hygiene with oil in it is discouraged. Go figure that those can be absorbed into your system! The soap that I use is either Ivory or Dove and for the interim I have given up on my nighttime face creams and after shower lotions. It has been said, though not promised, that during  HCG treatment women tend to acquire a glow about them, much like the glow of pregnancy. Wouldn’t that be a nice addition to getting thin??
