1Body4Forty - Day 30

Amy – 154.0 (-0.0; -18.3 Total)

This is my first day without an HCG injection this morning and the first of the 3 days before I start the maintenance diet phase.  I had coffee before we had skating practice this morning and afterwards we decided to go on the spur of the moment to the championship HS hockey game.
Before leaving, I grabbed the quickest lunch I could find in the refrigerator which was ½ cup of cottage cheese and I skipped the veggie.  We didn’t get back to town until after 6 and the kids insisted on sushi.  I tried to find the best option for limited calories and opted for a tuna tartare dish that had raw tuna tartare and a small seared tuna steak and some lettuce garnish on the side.  I am horrible going out to dinner because I also had a glass of red wine.  I know that tuna is not a recommended fish, so I’m hoping that my limited intake of food today will balance things out.

1Body4Sixty - Day 29

Peggy - 189 (-1.0; -27.0 Total)

This morning I weighed in at 189 lbs., down 27 lbs. I slept 9-1/2 hours and was up three times. I drank 64 oz of water.

Breakfast was two cups of coffee w/Stevia. And an orange.

Lunch was a salad with lettuce, cherry tomotoes, boil egg and WF creamy Bacon Dressing.

Dinner was 4 oz. ground round both spinach & broccoli, and an apple.

I went with a friend to Lone Star for dinner. Even though I ate the things that I have been eating, it is a treat and as long as they leave the bread off the table, I am fine.

1Body4Forty - Day 29

Amy – 154.0 (-1.6; -18.3 Total)

Down another 1.6 pounds so I’m relieved that my opera dinner didn’t impact me negatively!  I skated early this morning and afterwards headed to 1Body4Life to do my 4 week check in and hand in my weights/measurements.
My family has decided to go on a cruise for spring break and because the food is included, it will be very difficult to continue to eat this very austere, simple 500 calorie diet with no added fat while we’re there.  Since my weight loss has also been slow during the 2nd two weeks as well, the nurse and I decided that I will temporarily halt the HCG shots and go into maintenance for the next few weeks until I can resume the shots.  I am hoping that I can maintain a steady weight by adding in limited fats, and I think I can safely stay away from carbs and sugars like bread and desserts.  I will have to very careful about limiting any drinks (wine, etc.) that I have as well, since that can be a major source of calories.  So this morning will be my last shot for several weeks and the next 3 days will still be the 500 calories before the HCG wears off.
For lunch today I had a ½ cup of cottage cheese and no veggie.  I was so busy today running errands that I didn’t have any fruit as a snack this afternoon.  Peggy really wanted to get ‘out of the house’ and go to dinner so we went to Lone Star.  I had a 7 oz steak and sides of steamed spinach and steam broccoli without the butter.  Ok, and I was naughty and had a couple of glasses of wine.  Peggy was an angel though and opted for iced tea…

1Body4Forty - Day 28

Amy – 155.6 (-0.0; -16.7 Total)

Well, it’s day 28 and officially 4 weeks into the diet!  Still no change in weight today (guess bathing suit shopping doesn’t burn as many calories as you think it should!)  So today is the day I take my second set of measurements.  After the first 2 weeks I had lost 6.5 inches and now after 4 weeks, I have lost a total of 13.5 inches!  I lost another 1.5 inches in my waist, my chest and my left thigh, another inch off my hips and my right thigh, and ½ inch around my neck.  Still no change in my calves, ankles, or upper arms (ugh!) or my bra line.
After 3 cups of coffee, I had my standard breakfast of strawberries and stevia at 11:30 am.  At noon, I had lunch of baked chicken with provencal herbs and a salad with cherry tomatoes and Walden Farms blue cheese dressing.  It really sounds like I eat the same old thing every day, but it really is quite good.  I have an orange at 3 pm to hold me until dinner.
For dinner, I am going to have to fudge a bit and choose a dish that will be somewhat ‘diet friendly’ and hopefully this won’t throw me too far off the track.  We are taking a friend to the opera tonight in Chicago and having dinner beforehand, so it will have to be a little splurge… I opt for the ‘ploughman’s pie’ which is really a mini quiche (about 3 inches in diameter) with broccoli, asparagus and bacon, so I figure I’m getting eggs.  This is accompanied by a very simple side salad of green leaf lettuce and a very light dressing that is already mixed in.  And I’ll fess up to having a glass of wine with dinner… We have a really nice time this evening so I’m thinking this little detour was worth it.
