1Body4Forty - Day 9

Amy – 162.4 (-2.8; 9.9 Total)
Yay!  Finally my weight dropped almost 3 lbs!  Not a bad start to the second week and I am started to feel a bit thinner which is great!  I was able to get 9 hours of sleep last night since it’s the weekend!
In the morning I had 3 cups of black coffee and a breakfast of strawberries & stevia at 11 am.  Around noon, I had a lunch of baked chicken marinated in white wine vinegar and Chicago steak spices.  This was accompanied by my ‘caprese’ salad of chopped tomato with fresh chopped basil and balsamic vinegar.  Around 7:30 pm, we had dinner out at Lone Star again and I had my 7 oz Delmonico steak sandwich (without the bread of course) and an order of steamed spinach without butter and a couple of glasses of ice tea (with stevia I brought from home in my purse.)  I cut the steak in half with the best intentions of only eating the 3.5 oz and taking the other part home, but I couldn’t resist it and wound up eating the whole thing.
Hopefully the extra steak acts more like a maintenance ‘steak day’ and will flush out some more weight tomorrow.   A little worried my weight may go back up, but I will keep my fingers crossed that I didn’t make a huge mistake!

  1. You have NO IDEA how happy I am to read this. I messed up this weekend as well. I ate more of a portion then I should have. Just makes me feel like I'm not alone. Although my weight went up .02 I was disappointed I know I am not perfect and at least it was fish and not POTATOs or something.

  2. Yes, none of us is perfect and so many little things can affect how we lose, but in the long run, if we stick to it as best we can, we'll do well. You're lucky it was only .02 lbs, so obviously a little extra fish didn't hurt that much.

If you're going to cheat though, I've found it's much better to cheat with things you can eat on the diet. I usually keep a container of small cherry tomatoes in the fridge and if I get hunger pains, sometimes I'll grab 2-3 of those to put something in my stomach. Peggy has admitted to having a few celery sticks with blue cheese dressing.
