1Body4Forty - Day 2

Amy - 172.3 (0.0)

Even after everything I ate yesterday my weight did not go up. Yet I feel stuffed. Too much food!

For the record, as a matter of routine, I will be taking two types of probiotics each morning an hour before eating or drinking anything else and injecting my 20 units of HCG & B12 with a small insulin syringe around 7:30 am.  For each lunch and dinner, I will also be taking 3 capsules of "Alpha Base" multivitamin.  Supplements ensure that we are maintaining proper nutrition during the 40 days of a "VLCD" or "Very Low Calorie Diet".

This morning I had biscuits & gravy, eggs and hash browns. Something I love, but rarely eat because it's just too decadent.  Leftover deep dish pizza for lunch was a treat even for the 2nd day. As my last hurrah for the next 38 days, going out to dinner seemed appropriate. Needing to load up on calories this last day, we had appetizers of fried mushrooms, cheese sticks & onion straws, followed by a french dip with garlic fries, coleslaw and a couple of glasses of wine.  I'll admit I was so stuffed that I had to take half the sandwich and most of the fries home.  It was just too much food.  Hopefully all this food, however, will ensure that I get through the 3rd and 4th days without feeling as though I am starving. During my first round,  I see now that I did not properly load up on calories because the first two days of the 500 calorie diet were the hardest and I felt like I was starving the entire time.

I feel like I've eaten so much food over the past two days that I am actually looking forward to the 500 calorie diet.  Each day we will be allowed 2 proteins (about 3.5 oz of meat like organic chicken, certain fishes, and very lean beef, or 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, or eggs (1 yolk & 3 eggs whites)), along with 2 vegetables (salad, tomatoes, celery, asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, among others) and 2 fruits (an apple, orange, 1/2 grapefruiit, or strawberries).  It's hard to believe but on this diet, your body is releasing so much fat into your body to be used for food that you are not hungry.  This 500 calorie diet is really a sufficient amount food to eat each day.
